Mystery Book Discussion: Bluebird, Bluebird Online

Bluebird, Bluebird by Attica Locke

The body of a black man from Chicago is found in the East Texas bayou and, days later, a white woman’s corpse is discovered in the same bayou. Darren Matthews, a black Texas Ranger struggling with his own demons, is called to the tiny town of Lark to unravel the mystery of the seemingly linked murders.  An atmospheric novel, Bluebird, Bluebird exposes the deep-seated racism in the fictional town of Lark – and in American society.

Copies of the book will be available at the Shaker Main Library Circulation Desk one month before the discussion. Electronic copies are available via Overdrive/Libby.

The discussion will take place over Zoom and in person at Shaker Main Library. Please register with your email address to receive a link to the discussion.
