Book Buzz: Trust
Hernan Diaz's novel Trust contains many things: a biography-within-a-book about a fictional robber baron. The story of that fictional robber baron who's so furious at the unsanctioned biography that he hires a ghostwriter to set the record straight. And the ghostwriter's discovery of a diary that upends the rest of the novel. Trust is an examination of the historical novel, and ultimately the title reveals itself not as an invitation, but a warning.
