Lee Road Murals: Artist Talk, Gallery Show and Mural Dedication

The Lee Road Action Plan, adopted by Council in 2023, called for projects that would generate excitement in the district, including public art projects.  After releasing an open call for mural artists, 28 portfolios were submitted and reviewed by the City's Public Art Task Force. Selected were Darius Steward and Snack Break Studio (Roni Callahan and Kim Lavery).

The design process included the artists meeting with neighborhood residents and business owners to ensure the art reflects the neighborhood's rich history, unique culture, diverse people, and values.

At 6 pm, we invite you to meet the artists and attend an artist talk and gallery show opening at the library.  Following that, we'll take a walk (or drive, if you prefer) to a 7 pm dedication of their recently installed murals at 3649 and 3705 Lee Road. In case of inclement weather, the artist talk/gallery opening will go on, and the dedication will be postponed. For more information on the murals, go to www.shakerheightsoh.gov/LeeMurals
