Beloved Community Book Club: Take the Mic: Fictional Stories of Everyday Resistance
Join us in the Overlook for an intergenerational (teen/adult) discussion of how the stories from Take the Mic: Fictional Stories of Everyday Resistance relate to building MLK's Beloved Community. During the Oct. 22 meeting we will read from and discuss the first 4 short stories in the book, and the remaining 4 stories on Nov. 5. Snacks will be provided, and a limited number of copies of the book will be given away after Sept. 25 to those who register. The books are provided by the Shaker Community Martin Luther King, Jr Celebration Committee and the Friends of Shaker Library.
