Critical Race Theory and Shaker: Keynote by Professor Ayesha Bell Hardaway

Critical Race Theory and Shaker: Keynote by Professor Ayesha Bell Hardaway Online

Critical Race Theory is a term we're hearing a lot about these days. But what does it actually mean? Associate Professor Ayesha Bell Hardaway of Case Western University School of Law and the Social Justice Institute at CWRU (and also a member of the Shaker Heights Board of Education) will outline this legal theory for us. Professor Hardaway's scholarship focuses on criminal law; labor, 13th Amendment and Peonage; Race and the Law; Reparations; Consent Decrees, Police Reform and Civil Rights.

This is the first program in a series presented by the Shaker Library and NewONE Shaker. Future programs will be held on October 18 and 25. All will be held over Zoom. Please register with your email address to receive the link.

We appreciate the co-sponsorship of Shaker Historical Society and Heights Christian Church.
